I am an associate professor of philosophy at Ohio Northern University in Ada, OH, and I am the coach of ONU's Ethics Bowl team. I received my bachelor's degree from Ashland University, my master's degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and my Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder.
I specialize in ethics and regularly teach courses in ethical theory and practical ethics (esp., environmental ethics and professional ethics). I also teach critical thinking and logic. In the past, I have taught courses in the history of philosophy, philosophy of law, and political philosophy. When I'm not doing philosophy, I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting with friends, playing basketball and chess, and rooting for Cleveland's professional sports teams.
